A tower mill that is used as a wind-powered corn mill. 'Den Deen’ (The Dane) is a strange name though. But that's because it can be found in the village of Luyksgestel, the home of the copper ‘teuten’ - itinerant merchants whose trade reached as far as Denmark.

St Servatius Church
St Servatius Church
The first stone church in Westerhoven, located on the south side of the new provincial road, is said to have been built in around 1250. The church was demolished in 1820; any usable stones were used to construct a new parish church.

Poort Der Bevrijding (Liberation Gate)
This monument reminds Bergeijk residents of Operation Market Garden. During this operation, the Allies sought to cross the major rivers in the Netherlands from Belgium. The 'Liberation Gate' monument commemorates those who died.

An archaeological monument that can still be found in many places in our country. In Bergeijk, one mound in particular is quite famous, namely the Galgenberg. It lies hidden 100 metres into the woods on Eerselsedijk.

Plateaux
Plateaux
Borders blur in De Plateaux-Hageven, a Dutch-Belgian nature reserve. Come and walk through woods and across heathlands, past lakes and water meadows: a water system dating from the early 19th century! In spring you will find orchids here; in autumn the meadows turn purple. Enjoy the varied landscape to the full on one of the many walking routes!

Ploegpark
Ploegpark dates from the Nieuwe Bouwen (New Construction) era (1915-1960) and was designed by garden designer and landscape architect Mien Ruys. It was granted national monument status in 2009! The 'De Ploeg' building and grounds are designed as a coherent whole and complement one another.

't Schut
't Schut
't Schut, a weir in the small De Beekloop river, was constructed in 1888 for the Weteringen. Weteringen are water meadows where the grassland is irrigated with nutrient-rich water for hay production. De Beekloop was extended to obtain nutrient-rich water, which means that the chalky water used in the Lommel water meadows now also flows into Bergeijk.
